Hawk 2005  Assembly Instructions

 NOTE: Please read safety instructions for responsible driving.

Step 1 (Get Ready)
Remove box and prepare for assembly.
Step 1 (Con't)
Remove (2) metal beams and carefully slide scooter out.

Set aside all loose parts.

Set bike aside in open area.
Step 2 (Handle bar Installation)
Remove handle bar and prepare for installation.
Step 2 (Con't)
Remove packaging beam and place handle bars in its place.
Step 2 (Con't)
Tighten clamps firmly over handle bars.

Handle bars are now installed, now lets move on to the battery.
Step 3 (Battery Installation)
Peel off (red) film cover from battery.
Step 3 (Con't)
Take off (black) cover from acid pack and do not discard.
Step 3 (Con't)
Place acid pack over battery and puncture into battery. 
Step 3 (Con't)
Put (black) acid cover onto battery and lightly hammer down flush with battery.
Step 4 (Front wheel installation)
Get tire, bolt, nut, and spacer ready for front tire installation.
Step 4 (Con't)
Install tire shield as shown.
Step 4 (Con't)
Tighten (4) screws to secure tire shield.
Step 4 (Con't)
Place speedometer cable into holding clamp.
Step 4 (Con't)
make sure everything is secure.
Step 4 (Con't)
Place speedometer cable housing into slot then slide tire into it as shown.

The bolt will go thru as followed: fork, spacer, disc side of rim, speedometer housing, fork, then nut.
Step 4 (Con't)
Make sure disc is set properly between brake shoes.
Step 5 (Connecting blinkers)
Take plastic wire cover off.
Step 5 (Con't)
Connect greens with greens and orange's with orange's. and screw cover back on.
Step 6 (Foot brake lever installation)
Gather necessary parts as shown.

Insert (black) coil onto brake lever.
Step 6 (Con't)
Put brake lever with coil onto frame.
Step 6 (Con't)
With screw driver tighten coil and insert curved end into hole.
Step 6 (Con't)
It should look like this when complete.
Step 7 (Foot brake cable installation)
insert brake cable thru proper hole as shown.
Step 7 (Con't)
Insert brake light cable thru proper hole as shown.
Step 7 (Con't)
Insert wire hook thru brake light cable then thru hole and wrap around until snug.
Step 7 (Con't)
This is how it should look when complete.

You can tighten brake cable with this nut shown.

Insert metal clip thru brake bar from frame.
Step 7 (Con't)
After inserted bend other ends as shown.
Step 8 (Foot rest installation)
Put foot rest on then put metal clip thru and bend as you did in step 7.
Step 8 (Con't)
Should look like this when complete.
Step 9 (Saddle bag installation)
Get saddle bag out and ready.
Step 9 (Con't)
Place saddle bag arms underneath rear chrome trim.
Step 9 (Con't)
Tie together, we prefer this way as it looks the best.
Step 10 (Rear seat installation)
Place rear seat on top of saddle bag arms and prepare to install.

Line up holes and start screwing in place.
Step 10 (Con't)
Secure these two screws on both sides of bike.

Secure this screw on both sides of bike.
Step 11 (Mirror Installation)
Screw right mirror down firmly.
Step 11 (Con't)
Screw left mirror down firmly.
Step 12 (Securing cables in place)
With straps secure cables and lines onto handle bars and or frame of bike.
Step 13 (Securing battery into place)
Take screw out and remove chrome battery cover.
Step 13 (Con't)
Remove battery terminal screws and connect bike wires.
Step 13 (Con't)
Secure battery in place with rubber battery holder.
Step 13 (Con't)
Put chrome battery cover back on and tighten screw.
Step 14 (Check before adding gas)
Make sure gas line is connected to carb before adding gas to the gas tank.
